    Dear teachers, please read this before the class:

    A. Greetings

  • Greet the students. Good morning students.
  • Let the students answer: Good morning Miss/Sir.
  • Teach the students action in answering the greetings.
  • Good morning (open hands up on the air) Miss/Sir (pointing the screen of the computer). Good morning (waving hands on the air) classmates (opening hands on the side). Yes (right hand going down) Yes (left hand going down) Yes (hands going down).

    B. Review Songs

    C. Review Previous Lesson

  • What was our lesson last week?
  • Who can spell the word “Me”?
  • Who can spell the word “You”?
  • Say the word you and me.
  • Review the sentence I am ____ and shout the teachers name and You are ___.
  • Let the students read the sentence thrice.

    D. Warm Up Activity

  • Do some exercise by counting 1-10 like raising of hands up, side and down, shake hands, clap your hands. or moving of heads from left to right.

    E. Introduce Number Song

  • Show the lyrics of the song. (powerpoint)
  • The teacher read the lyrics of the song and allow the students to listen to it. Ask the student to repeat the teacher as she/he reads the lyrics again. The teacher and the students read the lyrics together. The teacher will teach the action of the song
  • Play the music. Allow the students to listen to the music first as the teacher sings the song with action.
  • Sing together.

    F. Enhancement Activity

  • Ask the students to count numbers one to ten. (as a group first then individual)
  • Ask the students if they can spell the word number one? Two? Three? And many others?
  • Introduce numbers and their spelling.
  • Show some pictures of things like apple, flower, tree, butterfly and ball.
  • Ask the students how many apples are there? Flowers? Trees? Butterflies? Balls? 
  • There are ______.
  • There is ______.
  • Explain to the students the usage of “there are” (many things: noun with s) there is (one thing: noun without s).
  • Lead the students in saying the sentence.

    G. Game 

  • The teacher will show pictures of different things.
  • 1 balloon, 2 hearts, 3 flowers, 4 bananas, 5 carrots, 7 birds, 8 triangles, 9 apples and 10 balls.
  • Ask the students how many apples are there?
  • Twist: the visuals will be mix with other pictures.
  • Whoever says the correct number will win the game.
  • Ask the question:
  • How many balloons are there?
  • How many heart shapes are there?
  • How many red flowers? Yellow flowers?
  • How many bananas?
  • How many carrots?
  • How many birds are there?
  • How many triangles are there? Blue triangles? Yellow triangles?
  • How many apples are there? Red apples? Green apples?
  • How many basketball? Soccer ball? Beach ball?

Note: The student can answer 9 apples, 1 flower, but if they already master in using “there is” and “there are”: They can answer as There are 9 apples. There is one flower. 

    H. Lesson (Age)

  • The teacher will show his/her hands and ask the students what number is/are this/these?
  • Whoever can say the correct number will have a point.
  • This session our lesson is about “My Age”.
  • Spell the word “Age”
  • Allow the students to say “My Age”. (3 times) 
  • Give some trivia or meaning of age. Age is the number of years that a person has lived. A number of years you are right now after your mother gave birth to you?
  • Do you know how old are you? 
  • Do you know when is your birthday?
  • Ask the students: When is your birthday? How old are you? (one by one)
  • I am _____ years old
  • My birthday is on July 24, 2015.
  • Do you still remember our SYE Characters?
  • Do you know how old are they?
  • Review again the 7 SYE characters?
  • Lead the students in saying the sentence.
  • Godu is 6 years old.
  • Cate is 6 years old.
  • Topa is 6 years old.
  • Nina is 6 years old.
  • Roska is 6 years old.
  • Risma is 7 years old.
  • Joe is 7 years old.
  • Ask them how old is Godu? Cate? Topa? Nina? Roska? Risma? Joe?

    I. Speaking/Sentence

  • Lead the students in saying the sentence.
  • I am _____ (name of student). I am ____ years old (age). My birthday is on _____ (birthday).
  • The student will say his/her name, age and birthday.
  • The teacher give example first.
  • Give one minute for students to practice?

Note: Some of the students sometimes does not know their age or even their birthday so the teacher needs to check it before this session (from: parent’s information or registration information) to help them in their speaking time.

    J. Workbook

  • Tell the students to do the activity on their workbook on page 7.
  • Instruct the students to color the cake.
  • Instruct the students to turn to page 53 of their workbook and remove the perforated candles.
  • Instruct the students to paste candles (the number of candles will depend on how old are they) on the colored cake based on their age.
  • Instruct the students to trace the numbers and write their age on the space provided.

    K. Homework

  • Practice saying your name, age, and birthday.
  • Say the sentence: Hello! I am ______. I am ___ years old. My birthday is on _____.
  • Record it and send it to our WhatsApp Group.
